That's the sound of the screaming inside my head. A relentless, high-pitched, piercing shriek of horror...
These last weeks have been filled with sleeplessness, chest pains and panic attacks.
When I start feeling woozy, I force myself to stop and take a few deep breaths. On the commute home I read papers and listen to Enya to keep my head from exploding, and I'm only semi-embarrassed to admit that so just shut up! And I'm trying to pretend my bowels are in fine working order. Mind over matter, right...
But today - at 4 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. - it will be all over. Thank God!
Inhale. Exhale.
Ok, wish me luck.
