Standing Tall... Sorta

Luke thinks this is way too easy.

Look, Ma! One hand!

Joseph says Ha! I can do that too.

Well...

Sorta.

::sigh:: I will not be sad. I am happy that my boys are growing big and strong. I am thrilled. I just know that I'm going to miss this phase of their babyhood once it's gone. And it's going so, so fast. :(

The boys are 7 months, 3 weeks & 6 days old. And Mommy is reminding herself to savor every moment of it.

Just A Swingin'

We emerged from our "arctic freeze" to a beautiful, 67-degree Sunday. And what better way to take advantage than by packing up the boys into their new wagon and going to the park.

They're too little for everything but the baby swings, but man, the giggles make it totally worth it!

In other news, WE HAVE A TOOTH! We were talking to Greg's best friend and his wife via Skype, when Joseph decided to chow down on my finger. I kept feeling something very hard and very sharp. Yep, his lower right incisor has broken through. And without much fuss. Is it naive to hope the others will be this easy?

Splish Splash, I Was Takin' A Bath

My adorable little guy in his birthday suit.
My giggly, bouncy fella.
And my big kid with his crazy laugh.

I love these boys. :)

My babies are 7 months & 8 days old.

Tongue-Clicking Joseph

Hearing Mommy make funny noises is one of the boys' favorites. Earlier today I was clicking my tongue at the them and getting lots of giggles. Then several times throughout the day I caught Joseph trying to imitate that sound.

What a clever, little munchkin. :)

Joseph is 7 months & 1 week old.

Joseph's First Whole Food

For quite some time the guys have been eyeing our food and, more recently, lunging for it. As in throwing their whole bodies toward whatever's in our hands as if their very lives depended on getting hold of it. It makes for an interesting time when I'm starving and have to fight to keep my grip on a squirmy child or two.

In this case, I decided to satisfy Joseph's curiosity. I wish Greg had been there to capture the first few bites because it was hilarious. I broke off a piece of pear and offered it up. Joseph took that little bite into his mouth and wrinkled up his little nose. I'm sure the texture took him by surprise. Then he started gumming it. Finally he swallowed and looked up at me with the biggest grin. He was so proud of himself. It was precious.

Greg caught the rest here:

He didn't choke. Don't worry.

The guys are 7 months and 5 days old.

Desperation

The boys are 7 months old today! And apparently celebrating by kicking mommy's butt! Yay!

Today is the kind of day when you just dump the entire toy bag into their laps in a desperate attempt to STOP THE SCREAMING.

Oh sure, they look all sweet & innocent...

... but don't let them fool you.

Some days are just meant for...

... SCREEEEEAMMMMMMING!

I'll update once my happy babies are back.

The boys are 7 months old and too cool for baby toys.

Love and Ambition

Oh man, these poor cats are screwed once the boys are mobile.

Joseph loves him some Lani

And speaking of mobility, someone I know is working hard at it. I'm hoping I still have a while but guess I should start looking into how to hide all those loose wires around my baby's feet. And working on my herding skills.

Luke, very busy and important

The boys are one day shy of 7 months old!
